In the little mess for'ard of No2 Mortar Bay, is the happy Kingdom of the E.R.A's. Watched over by the Chief ERA, Stan Russell. We have ERA's Ces Bolton, Brian McEnally, Peter Anderson, Ron Vass, Jerry Lewis, Keith Shadforth, Frank Birt and Terry Decini.

The first time in Hong Kong we held our mess party in a little Chinese cafe. The main attraction of this enjoyable evening was the Chinese supper served to us. Thought we weren't very competent with the chopsticks we still managed to eat everything that was laid in front of us.

We are all looking forward to returning to Hong Kong for Christmas where a bus tour of the New Territories has been planned.

Since we left Australia, an inter-mess .22 rifle competition was held with the ERA's taking the honours as the best shots.
