Just outside Nowa Nowa, at Stony Creek, is a railway bridge claimed to be one of the largest wooden bridges still standing in Australia. It was constructed out of grey box and red ironbark in 1916. It is, at 276 metres long and 18.6 metres high. Cosstick Weir is a little further west - the Mundic Creek flows alongside ferns and a wide variety of native plants. Koalas may be seen. |
